A visit to Big Ben is not suitable for everyone. Visitors must be 11 years old or older and comfortable climbing the 334 steps and enduring the high levels of noise from the clock mechanism and bells; Hearing protectors will be provided. The total duration of the visit is 90 minutes and bathrooms are available only at the beginning and end of the visit. Due to the limitations of the Tower, accessible tours that include step-free access are not currently available.
